Dr. Minas Georgopoulos is an Ophthalmic Surgeon who specialised in the UK in Glaucoma, Cornea, Cataract and Laser Refractive Surgery.

He holds the position of Director of the Glaucoma and Cataract departments of the Surrey and Sussex hospitals in the UK.
He is one of the few ophthalmologists in Europe to have obtained the title FEBOS-gl from the European Glaucoma Society (EUGS) and the European Board of Ophthalmology (EBO).
He is a graduate of the Medical School of the Democritus University of Thrace (2009), and specialised in Ophthalmology in hospitals in Great Britain, obtaining the title of Specialist Ophthalmologist (2016).
In 2016 he obtained the European Board of Ophthalmology Diploma (FEBO) with distinction in the examinations in Paris, and went on to specialise in glaucoma surgery at Buckinghamshire hospitals (2016-17) and at the world-renowned Queen Victoria Hospital (2017-18) as a Fellow in Glaucoma and anterior segment diseases.
Since April 2018 he has been director of the Glaucoma and Cataract departments at the hospitals of Surrey and Sussex in Great Britain.
He was also a visiting Consultant at Spire Gatwick Park Hospital in London.
In 2020 he completed his master’s degree with distinction in Refractive and Cataract Surgery under Professor Dan Reinstein at the University of Ulster.
He regularly attends and speaks at international conferences and symposia.
He is now based in Greece where, with the experience of thousands of operations, he consults and operates at various clinics, while continuing to operate in hospitals in England.
